After five successful training projects in 2016, organised by trainer Debbie, she organized a coming back training for the girls who have joined a training earlier that year. The project took place in Manila's squatters area, around the enormous dump side Palates.
The girls who joined the training live at the vast Payatas garbage dump on the outskirts of Manila. Over 30,000 people live on this mountain of waste, and they survive by collecting and separating aluminium, plastic and cardboard waste. Children are often required to work from a very young age. For most children there is no hope of a different future - a better future.
During the coming back training 2 girls from Payatas were trained by Debbie. The training was focussed on bullying. Besides that they also had the time to review and look back on the training earlier that year which was focussed on self-image, healthy lifestyle, hygiene, puberty, abuse, social media, sexuality, safe sex and early pregnancy.
